Far East Cynic

Oldie but goodie

It is women’s history month. So perhaps the one and only blessing of being here in N.C. is that I am spared the inevitable AFN commercials-reminding me of how much of a rapist I am as a man, how sexual harrassment is all in the women’s point of view, and asking me when I stopped beating my wife.

As is my custom, I will use some of the posts this month to recount some of the history about women that they don’t tell you on AFN-or in DACOWITS hearings. More on that later. For now I thought I would simply provide you with a retelling of the story that got me thrown out of the Crooks and Liars blog round up.

Lets go take a look at the wicked witch of the west!

  1. AFN….
The commercials which always got me were the “Sexual Harassment” ones where the guy was always the perp. They got so annoying the chaplian commented, instead of bugging me for the newest toy, they are always asking “Daddy Whats Sexual Harassment.
Sometimes I feel like the only acceptable group to discriminate against is “White Males”

  2. I still LOVE the sensitivity training scene in “Rescue Me.” He hits it on the head there. Men, of all races, rag on each other in a unit w/ high morale. Bring females in and you don’t know what will happen. Not to mention the Navy’s fear of actually prosecuting women like men when they screw or screw up. Thought you’d enjoy this story though:

You might have even seen it there.
